Code of conduct

What is the Kinship Code of Conduct?

The Kinship Code of Conduct defines how we show up for each other.

Kinship is built on trust, integrity, and mutual respect. This is not just a platform—it is a values-based community. Participation requires a shared commitment to professionalism, honesty, and ethical behavior in all interactions.

Be truthful and act with integrity

You are expected to represent yourself and your work honestly.

Do not misrepresent your background, experience, traction, metrics, or intentions. Accuracy matters—not just for trust, but because it enables others to support you effectively.

Trust is the foundation of Kinship. Once broken, it is difficult to restore.

Honor your commitments

Be professional in how you engage with others.

Show up on time. Follow through on what you say you will do. Communicate clearly if something changes. Respect other people's time and effort.

Reliability is one of the most important signals in any entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Contribute as much as you receive

Kinship is built on reciprocity.

Be proactive in helping others where you can—through advice, connections, feedback, or support. The strength of the ecosystem depends on participants who give as much as they take.

Even small contributions matter.

Be confident, not arrogant

You should believe deeply in your ideas and your potential.

At the same time, remain open to feedback, learning, and growth. Confidence attracts support—arrogance repels it.

The most effective founders combine conviction with humility.

Respect confidentiality and boundaries

Do not share information that you do not have the right to share.

This includes private business information, non-public competitor data, personal details about other users, and any sensitive information shared in confidence.

Respect the privacy settings and expectations of others at all times.

Engage with respect and professionalism

Treat others with dignity, fairness, and respect in all interactions.

Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or disrespectful behavior of any kind will not be tolerated.

Disagreements are natural—but they should be handled constructively and professionally.

Operate with ethical intention

Act in ways that are fair, transparent, and aligned with high ethical standards.

Do not exploit others, mislead participants, or use the platform to take advantage of less experienced users.

Your success should not come at the unjust expense of others.

Support a culture of trust and dignity

Kinship is shaped by values commonly held across our communities, including honesty, trustworthiness, generosity, patience, and respect.

We expect participants to embody these values sincerely, without placing unreasonable expectations on others.

Trust is built through consistent behavior over time.

Be mindful of experience levels

Many participants in Kinship are at early stages of their journey.

If you are more experienced, take care to guide, support, and uplift others. If you are earlier in your journey, be open to learning and feedback.

We are building an ecosystem where people grow together.

Use Kinship responsibly

Do not use the platform for spam, unsolicited promotion, or activities that undermine trust.

All engagement should be intentional, relevant, and aligned with the purpose of the platform.

What happens if these standards are not followed?

Kinship reserves the right to review and take action on behavior that violates this Code of Conduct.

This may include warnings, restriction of access, or removal from the platform.

Our goal is not punishment, but to protect the integrity, safety, and trust of the community.
